Open since 1998, this is clearly one of the best restaurants
in NYC chinatown offering both an excellent Dim Sum and a
full menu specializing in seafood. Excellent Shui Mai and
Pork Buns, The restaurant is more upscale than most so expect
to pay more than other restaurants in Chinatown. Service is
prompt here and being so close to the courthouse makes it
an ideal place to eat if you are on jury duty. Website

to have soup dumplings this is the place. Steamed on a bed

in Chinatown. Try the crab meat aka Xiao Long Bao see menu
Also good are the noodles soups, we recommend #72 Shanghai

X'ian
Famous Foods 67 Bayard St (between Elizabeth St &
Mott St) New York, NY 10013
X'ian serves food unique to Chinatown --best described as
a fusion of Middle Eastern and Chinese foods. The most popular
dishes all have bold flavors -- Our most popular dishes include
the Liang Pi "Cold Skin" Noodles, Savory Cumin Lamb
Burger, Stewed Pork Burger, Lamb Pao Mo Soup, and various
types of Wide Hand-Pulled "Biang Biang" Noodles.
The Restaurant sitting has one large group table and stools
along the walls. While they do a brisk take-out business it
is best advised to eat in. This restaurant got a boost when
Anthony Bordain stopped by to try the cumin lamb burger.Website

Tasty
Hand-Pulled Noodles 1 Doyers St (between Bowery &
Chatham Sq) New York, NY 10013 --(212) 791-1817
Hand
pulled noodles taste great..It all about the noodles here
(see
video of Guy Fieri). excellent soup broths. You choose
the type of noodle (Hand Pulled Noodles, Knife Peeled Noodles
& Big Or Small Rice Noodle) and type of soup or get the
noodles stir fried with choice of protein -- (Yes --it is
"a hole-in the-wall"). Yelp 4 stars -- Zagat 22--

Bo
Ky
-- 80 Bayard St (between Mulberry St & Mott St) New York,
NY 10013 (212) 406-2292
Since the closing of New Chao Chao Bo Ky becomes the only
restaurant in Chinatown to serve Chiu Chow cuisine -- This
is where you will find the 'best seafood noodle soup' (I prefer
yellow or egg noodle) in Chinatown. The country style duck
is also excellent here being braised in soy unlike those in
Cantonese restaurants. The chili oil found on every table
is made at Bo Ky an excellent condiment to add to soups or
to just have a a dip. See menu -- Yelp review 4

Dim

Nom
Wah Tea Parlor
13 Doyer Street between Bowery and Pell --212-962-6047
Nom Wah has been serving Dim Sum dishes since the 1920's.
It is perhaps the only restaurant where you can even order
Dim sum in the evening. There are several things different
you will notice that are different from other restaurants
here. Namely, there are mostly non-Asians eating here, you
are served water not tea when you sit down, and there are
no push carts instead you order the food by using a check-off
list. While we feel Nom Wah is not in the same class for Dim
Sum as our other choices, it does serve throughout the day.
The pea shoot and shrimp dumpling are excellent as are the
pork buns. We do find the rice rolls too heavy (starchy).

Noodle
Village
13 Mott St (between Chatham Sq & Mosco St) New York, NY
10013 (212) 233-0788
The noodles soups may seem less flavorful here since they
do not use MSG as is stated on a sign outside. Serious Eats
rates their Wonton Noodle soup as the best in Chinatown. Congee
is also very popular. This place is very crowded for lunch
but table move fast. Menu
