the Future: the Nanotechnology Revolution". Has also coined the revolutionary
term "Open Source software".

Tomanek - Professor of theoretical condensed matter physics at Michigan State
University. Is actively involved in research of fundamental properties of nanostructured
materials using advanced numerical techniques.
- K. Eric Drexler - Is a co-founder and chairman
of the Foresight Institute. Has written numerous publications including "Nanosystems:
Molecular Machinery, Manufacturing, and Computation", "Engines of Creation: The
Coming Era of Nanotechnology". Coauthored "Unbounding the Future: the Nanotechnology
Revolution".
- Ralph
C. Merkle - A nanotechnolgy researcher, Alcor Director (Cryonics), principal
fellow of Zyvex, advisor to the Foresight Institute, executive editor of the journal
Nanotechnology and co-inventor of public key cryptography. Also a former research
scientist at Xerox PARC.
- Richard
E. Smalley - Gene and Norman Hackerman Professor of Chemistry and Professor
of Physics - 1996 Chemistry Nobel Prize Winner. Professor Smalley's research laboratory
is best known for the discovery of C60 and the fullerenes in 1985 and much of
the subsequent development of this field.
